Zinka Milanov

Zinka Milanov was a Croatian Soprano who sang at the Metropolitan Opera from 1937-1977. Among her greatest roles were Leonora in Il Trovatore, Maddalena in Andrea Chenier, and Tosca. In 1944 she sang a concert version of the last act of Rigoletto, with the NBC Orchestra conducted by Arturo Toscanini. The cast included Jan Peerce, Nan Merriman, Leonard Warren and Nicola Moscona.
