Zinka Milanov

Zinka Milanov was a Croatian Soprano who sang at the Metropolitan Opera from 1937-1977. Among her greatest roles were Leonora in Il Trovatore, Maddalena in Andrea Chenier, and Tosca. In 1944 she sang a concert version of the last act of Rigoletto, with the NBC Orchestra conducted by Arturo Toscanini. The cast included Jan Peerce, Nan Merriman, Leonard Warren and Nicola Moscona. This Mother's Day, DFO Productions presents a Tribute to Zinka Milanov with music from many of her greatest roles. Artists include: Susan Nelson, Jennifer Kosharsky, Peder Reiff, Thomas Hall and Vince Wallace.
